CDH Investment Bank athletes and supporters celebrate their sport day winners at the champions sundowner cocktail
CDH Investment Bank hosted staff engagement cocktails to celebrate staff achievements at the 2026 Bankers Association of Malawi sports day. The bank hosted the cocktail braai–themed “Champions Sundowner” on Thursday 30th April 2026 in Blantyre and Wednesday 6th May 2026 in Lilongwe respectively.
The cocktails were a way for the bank to recognize the team’s sportsmanship, teamwork and values which drive the bank’s culture of health and vitality every day.
The bank took part in 12 competitive events, across football, running, cycling, golf, weightlifting, and team sports. We are proud of the following members who scooped awards in their various sporting categories:
Individual champions
- Men’s egg race: 1st place – Menard Monjesi
- Ladies’ golf: 1st place – Satakwawo Zuze
- Ladies’ golf (longest drive): 1st place – Satakwawo Zuze
- Men’s egg race: 2nd place – Edson Mdala
- Ladies’ bawo: 2nd place – Rhoda Nyirenda
- Men’s 10km: 3rd place – Thokozani Masakasa
- Ladies’ 10km: 3rd place – Nancy Bisika
- Men’s lightweight weightlifting: 4th place – Charles Liabunya
Team champions
- Gendaball (1st place): Sara Singo, Agnes Chinkono, Mercy Banda, Jonathan Phiri, Monica Mwala, Masida Nganga, Fortune Sichali, Alice Lamiton, Triza Mgawi
- Basketball (2nd place): Zaine Phoya, Precious Hausi, Timothy Banda, Jonathan Makowa, Waaza Phiri, Raymond Chilima, Sungani Mkandawire, Kelvin Sipiliano, Zulanyumba Kumwenda, Charles Liabunya, Robert Harawa, MacMillan Mkutumula with Mike Chimombo and Coach and Shira Sinjah as the team’s statistician.
