CDH Investment Bank donated K5 million to the Bankers Association of Malawi (BAM) to support the 11th Annual Bankers Lake Conference, which took place from 20–23 August 2026 at Sunbird Nkopola Lodge in Mangochi. The conference was held under the theme: “Industrializing Malawi as a Catalyst for Economic Renewal: Driving Sustainable Growth through Digitalization, Investment, Regional Trade and Financial Innovation.”
In remarks at the cheque presentation, CDH Investment Bank’s Chief Business Development Officer, Mr Jamal Kamoto, described the sponsorship as an expression of appreciation for BAM’s contribution to Malawi’s banking sector and its role in sustainable development, noting the conference could generate practical ideas to advance financial inclusion.

Chief Executive Officer Mrs Lyness Nkungula thanked CDH for its ongoing partnership and highlighted the importance of collaboration among government, the private sector and financial institutions to build a stronger, more innovative Malawi. She stressed banks’ crucial role in mobilising investment, promoting financial inclusion and financing growth, and she welcomed the sponsorship as a signal of continued collaboration toward shared goals.
