CDH Investment Bank expressed its commitment to supporting non-governmental organizations.
Mrs Mercy Sekani, Banking Centre Manager, Capital City Banking Centre said this at a training organized by David Hastings Associates in collaboration with Baker Tilly Chartered Certified Accountants and Hudson and Pertrichor Attorneys at Law. The training was coordinated to support International and National Non-Governmental Organizations operating in Malawi. The workshop is the beginning of an incubation and capacity building program to support the NGOs in the areas of leadership and governance, compliance with the NGOs Amendment Act of 2022, resource mobilization, financial management, internal and external auditing, and accounting.
The Bank supported the training which was held on 26th April 2024 at Sunbird Livingstonia in Salima.
David Hastings Associates commended CDH Investment Bank for the support adding that the financial institution was the first bank to support them. Speaking on the sidelines of the workshop, Mr Tokha Manyungwa, co-founder of David Hastings Associates said: “We are happy with the K1million donation that we received from CDH Investment Bank.
David Hastings Associates announced that they will provide free 1 year consultancy on the installation and training of Quick books accounting software to all NGOs banking with CDH Investment Bank.
The event was held under the theme “Capacity Building for Malawi Local and International Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) in Financial Management, Governance, Compliance and Audit”and attended by representatives from various local and international NGOs.
