CDH Investment Bank sponsors Institute of People Management Malawi

CDH Investment Bank has donated K1 million to the Institute of People Management Malawi towards the hosting of the 2024 IPMM Lakeshore Conference which will be held from 24th – 26th October 2024 at the Sunbird Nkopola Lodge in Mangochi. The conference will be held under the theme “Navigating the new world of work: empowering people, embracing change, and fostering resilience in a rapidly evolving and turbulent economic environment.”

At the cheque presentation ceremony which took place on Tuesday 8th October 2024 at the bank’s offices in Blantyre, Mrs. Tiyezge Matandika, the banks Human Capital Development Manager, said they had decided to sponsor the conference to appreciate for the role that the people managers play in helping develop Malawi by enhancing productivity for sustainable economic development.

“The core resource of any organization is its people, and as leaders, we need to ensure we have in place strategies that drive the development of employees, empower employees and help them evolve and change for the benefit of any organization or economy”, she said.

On his part, Mr. Willy Nkhoma, Executive Director of the Institute of People Management Malawi, expressed gratitude to CDH Investment Bank for the support, which he said was a timely boost for the annual conference and a testament of the banks unwavering commitment to IPMM. He applauded CDH Investment Bank for the good partnership over the years.

“This is not the only time that CDH Investment Bank has assisted us” Mr. Willy Nkhoma expressed thanks to the bank for providing support to IPMM’s 40th anniversary celebration. He shared that the Institute of People Management Malawi has played a crucial role in grooming numerous managers into human capital officers, with some eventually ascending to the position of Chief Executive Officer who have been instrumental in developing Malawi.
