CDH Investment Bank has donated K5 million to the Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS) for the 2^nd research dissemination conference slated for 30^th  November to 1^st December 2023 at KUHeS Blantyre Campus in Blantyre. The theme of the conference is “tackling the #MW2063 health research priorities: through a multidisciplinary approach”.

Presenting the cheque in Blantyre, Mr Jamal Kamoto, CDH Investment Bank, Chief Business Development Officer, said CDH Investment Bank decided to support the conference as a partner, as the bank appreciates the role KUHeS plays in pioneering health research that helps support education and health sectors and provide national growth.

CDH Investment Bank (CDHIB) has donated K5m to Darts Association of Malawi (DAM) for the 2023 DAM national finals tournament.

Speaking on the sidelines of the presentation, CDH Investment Banks, Chief Credit Officer, Mr Sungani Mkandawire, shared that the bank was pleased to support the association in hosting the national league to help the sporting discipline to growth and development in Malawi. 

CDH Investment Bank (CDHIB) donated K10, 559, 047.14 to Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) on Thursday 14th December 2023. The funds will be used to support talented needy students with scholarships and will be presented at the 2023 student innovator awards student innovator awards, by awarding five first year students with money amounting to K1.7million each.

The support is the banks’ fulfillment of the third commitment, under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) the bank signed with LUANAR earlier this year, worth USD$57, 901.65 (K60million) that will support three strategic initiatives at LUANAR namely, the annual tree-planting, inaugural agri-innovation challenge and provision of scholarships to talented needy students. These funds will be used.

CDH Investment Bank has donated K2 million to Blantyre Police Station for the procurement and installation of CCTV equipment in Blantyre. 

Presenting the cheque in Blantyre, Ms Ivy Kwatiwani, CDH Investment Bank, Chief Human Capital and Development Officer, said CDH Investment Bank decided to support the Blantyre Police Station as the bank appreciates the role the station delivers in providing safety and security for individuals and businesses in the country. 

CDH Investment Bank took part in the Reserve Bank of Malawi savings awareness week which was commemorated across Malawi from 6th to 10th November 2023. 

The aim of the week was to promote awareness of the benefits of a saving, investing and wealth creation culture among the general public. This is in line with the country’s vision of creating an inclusively wealthy and self-reliant nation and facilitate economic growth and development.

CDH Investment Bank has donated K2 million to the Malawi Orthopaedics Association for the 2023 scientific conference that will take place from 21st to 23rd September 2023 at Chikho Hotel in Mponela, Dowa. The theme of the conference is “Orthopaedics and disaster management: lessons from cyclone Freddy.”

The cheque was presented on behalf of CDH Investment Bank by Mr Jamal Kamoto, the Chief Business Development Officer on Thursday 14th September 2023 at the bank’s offices in Blantyre. Mr Kamoto said CDH Investment Bank decided to sponsor the conference as part of appreciating the advocacy and oversight role that the Malawi Orthopaedics Association plays in orthopaedics in Malawi.

Southern Zone Basketball League (Sozobal) Chairperson Mr Raymond Chioko has hailed the 2023 season which has showcased great talent and electrifying games. Chioko made the following remarks during a preparation meeting for week 7 league matches which took place between 26th and 27th August 2023 at the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) and Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS) Sports Complexes in Blantyre.

CDH Investment Bank has donated K2 million to the Financial Market Dealers Association (FIMDA) for the 2023 annual conference slated for 13th to 15th October 2023 at Sunbird Nkopola Hotel in Mangochi. The theme of the conference is “the role of financial markets in the attainment of MIP-1 Pillar 1: agricultural productivity and commercialization”.

Presenting the cheque in Blantyre, CDH Investment Bank Chief Treasury Officer Mr Zondwayo Mafuleka, said CDH Investment Bank decided to support the conference as a partner, as the bank appreciates the role FIMDA plays in enabling markets and addressing pertinent issues that affect forex exchange dealing, money market, fixed income, equity instruments and more in our financial market in Malawi.

Southern Zone Basketball League’s (SOZOBAL) has invited 11 men’s and women’s teams to compete in the 2023 CDH Investment Bank (CDHIB) ‘Money in the Bank’ invitational tournament from October 13-15 in Blantyre. 

SOZOBAL Director of Marketing and resource mobilization, Miranda Dula, said the men’s competition will comprise defending champions Kamuzu Barracks, Brave Hearts and Central Knights from the Central Region. Northern Regions Moyale Barracks and SOZOBAL’s CDHIB, Crazy Warriors and Bricks.
