CDH Investment Bank and members of other Continental Holdings Group companies attended the 2023 bankers’ sports day on Saturday 29th April 2023 at Reserve Bank of Malawi Sports Complex in Lilongwe.  

The CDH group staff members participated in the morning parade followed by participation in various sporting events on the day ranging from golf (Lilongwe Country Club), cycling, football, netball, basketball, bawo, egg race, sack race, pool, table tennis, squash, 100m races and tug of war. 

The event allowed all staff to have time to interact with bankers from other institutions. The CDH group teams displayed amazing teamwork and vigor and the basketball team emerged basketball champions at the games for the second consecutive year in a row. CDHIB’s Fannie Kansilanga was also awarded ladies egg race champion.

The Bank performance improved with the CDHIB achieving third place in table tennis, fourth place in squash, women’s sack race and men’s egg race, achieving semi-finalist position in football, and fifth place in cycling. 

The team had a great weekend in Lilongwe and is inspired to bring home more trophies in 2024.
