CDH Investment Bank staff relax at staff wellness activity

CDH Investment Bank treated its staff to the fourth quarter staff wellness program. The activity took place on Saturday 19th November 2022 in Blantyre and Sunday 20th November 2022 in Lilongwe. CDH Investment Bank hosts quarterly staff wellness activities in a bid to promote healthy living and networking amongst the staff.

The Blantyre team travelled to Makandi Dam in Thyolo where the team participated in a health walk around the tea estate and dam followed by a wellness talk from Mr Maclean Vokhiwa, a psychologist and wellness specialist from Lifeing Institute.

Prior to the staff wellness activity, staff completed confidential wellness surveys. The session allowed staff to understand how to manage stress both from workplace and at home, and appreciate the importance of sleep and mental health. The team was guided on tips aimed at improving general wellbeing.

The Lilongwe team travelled to Lynod and Eunice Leisure Farms in Bunda where they participated in a health walk from Bunda Turn-off to the Leisure Centre followed by a wellness talk from Mr Maclean Vokhiwa, the wellness specialist from Lifeing Institute. The team was also provided with feedback from the surveys that was conducted and tips on how to achieve a healthier wellbeing by managing stress, diets and mental health.

The activities were conducted to allow staff members to participate in fitness activities that will provide the Bank staff with an opportunity to exercise and interact socially.

Speaking during the event, Nqabile Medi, Administration Officer, stated that the wellness events are held quarterly to improve staff health and wellbeing. “As CDH Investment Bank celebrates ten years, we felt it was important to also end the year with a relaxing wellness activity that will assist staff members to manage stress and mental health. The bank appreciates its employees that are a vital resource and as such, remains committed to invest its time and resources to quarterly engagement activities that support staff health, fitness and team-building”.
