CDHIB Donates towards the floods victims
CDH Investment Bank (CDHIB) on Friday 16 January 2015 donated K1 million towards the flood victims in various districts of the country. The donation was channeled through the Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MCCI). Speaking when he received the cheque from CDHIB, MCCI Chief Executive Officer, Chancellor Kaferpanjira said the private sector has decided to take a key role in assisting the flood victims. “We are targeting between K50 million and K100 Million through both kind and cash donations. Already we have started receiving good response and the donations will be channeled through the Vice President’s office which is handling the matter,” said Kaferpanjira.
CDHIB’s Chief Finance Officer said the bank saw the need to assist Malawians who have been affected by the floods. “We think this donation will go a long way to assist people that have been affected by the disaster,” she said. Kaferapanjira called for more help to the flood victims in cash and in kind.
